Coagulation profile 4 is done to check and measure the amount D-Dimer [a protein] which breaks down blood clots. Usually done for DVT [Deep Vein Thrombosis] , PR [Pulmonary Embolism], DIC [Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation], Stroke etc – to check if you are having blood clotting condition.
